The class of 2016/17 made these comments and recommendations:
My tip would be keep the rhythm of the lessons because there is very
much to learn and if you try to learn everything at once, this will not
work. However the course material was perfect and I had everything I needed
to be able to pass the exam (except enough time to learn, but that is not
the fault of the OU!).
I found the Story Explorer invaluable in helping to understand the grammar. The Principal Parts Tester was good too. I’d use that before revising. Apart from it being very effective in helping to remember the principal parts, it also for some reason helped to get into the right frame of mind. I found at first revising would last about 30 seconds then then I’d start thinking of something else. But if I started with 50 principal parts the span might sometimes have reached a couple of hours.
